3.11 Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The “Last Updated” date above will change, and material updates will be posted on our website.

4. Warranty

4.1 Manufacturer warranty. New products carry the manufacturer’s warranty for the period stated by the manufacturer. We facilitate warranty claims and RMA submissions on your behalf, but we are not the warrantor and are not responsible for manufacturer delays, RMA decisions, or discontinued stock.

4.2 Custom builds. Systems assembled by GreyPC carry a 12-month workmanship warranty covering our assembly work. The individual components inside remain covered by their own manufacturer warranties.

4.3 Repair work. Repair services are provided without warranty unless a specific warranty period is stated in writing on your invoice or service report. Where a written warranty is given, it covers only the specific fault repaired and the specific parts replaced, and does not extend to new or unrelated faults.

4.4 Scope. Warranty covers hardware faults only. It does not cover software issues, operating system faults, driver problems, malware, corrupted data, user configuration, or lost licences.

4.5 Original packaging. Manufacturers generally require original boxes and accessories for RMA processing. Please keep the original packaging for the full warranty period — we may be unable to process a claim without it.

4.6 Warranty is void where:

  • the system or component has been opened, disassembled, or tampered with by anyone other than GreyPC or an authorised service centre;
  • there is physical damage, bent or missing pins, liquid ingress, burn marks, or impact damage;
  • damage was caused by power surges, incorrect voltage, a faulty third-party PSU, or unstable mains supply;
  • the product was overclocked, undervolted, or run outside manufacturer specification;
  • serial numbers, warranty seals, or GreyPC service labels have been removed, defaced, or tampered with;
  • the fault results from improper installation, transport, storage, or neglect.

4.7 Remedy. Warranty replacements may be new, refurbished, or an equivalent model where the original is discontinued.

5. Returns and Refunds — Defective Items Only

5.1 We accept returns only where an item is defective, faulty, dead on arrival (DOA), or materially different from what was ordered. We do not accept returns for change of mind, incorrect self-selection, compatibility misjudgement, or items no longer needed.

5.2 DOA faults must be reported within 7 days of purchase or delivery. Faults arising after that are handled under Section 4 (Warranty).

5.3 Returned items must include all original packaging, accessories, cables, adapters, manuals, and any promotional items supplied.

5.4 Where a defect is confirmed, we will at our discretion repair, replace, or refund the item.

5.5 Where inspection finds no fault, or the fault falls under Section 4.6, the return may be refused or a handling and inspection fee of 10% of the item price applied.

5.6 Cannot be returned or refunded except where defective on arrival: opened software and digital licence keys; assembled custom builds (individual defective components inside remain covered); special-order items; opened consumables and thermal compounds; items sold as “as-is”, “open box”, “clearance”, “B-stock”, or “used”, unless the specific fault was undisclosed; gift cards and store credit.

5.7 Refunds are issued to the original payment method within up to 30 days of the item passing inspection. Non-recoverable bank or payment-processor fees may be deducted.

5.8 Business customers. B2B purchases are handled under Section 4 and any signed supply agreement; Section 5 does not apply unless agreed in writing.

5.9 Statutory rights. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable rights you have under Bahrain’s Consumer Protection Law (Law No. 35 of 2012).

6. Service and Repair Policies

6.1 Data is your responsibility. Back up your data before submitting any device for repair. We do not guarantee the preservation of data on any device and accept no liability for data loss, corruption, or the cost of data recovery, however caused.

6.2 Diagnostics. A diagnostic fee of BHD 5 to BHD 10, depending on the nature of the fault, is payable upfront and is non-refundable. Where you proceed with the repair, the fee is credited against the repair cost.

6.3 Estimates and approval. Repair quotations are indicative. We will contact you for approval before exceeding an approved estimate. If you decline the repair, the diagnostic fee remains payable and the device is returned in the condition received.

6.4 No fault found. If no fault can be reproduced, the diagnostic and handling fees remain payable.

6.5 Turnaround. Repairs are handled in the order received, with urgency assessed case by case. Please expect to leave the device with us for at least one working day, together with any relevant part boxes, accessories, or power adapters needed for testing. Same-day or over-the-counter repairs cannot be guaranteed.

6.6 Workshop access. For safety, insurance, and to protect other customers’ equipment and data, customers cannot enter the workshop or service area. Our technicians will explain the diagnosis and the work required at the counter.

6.7 Pre-existing condition. Devices submitted for repair may already have latent faults, prior liquid damage, or previous third-party repairs. We are not liable for the failure of unrelated components during or after servicing.

6.8 Software and licensing. You are responsible for holding valid licences for the software on your device. OEM operating system licences supplied with a system are tied to that system and are non-transferable.

6.9 Storage and uncollected devices.

  • Devices left more than 3 days after we notify you that the repair is complete or declined will incur a storage fee of BHD 0.500 per day, payable before the device is released.
  • Devices not collected within 90 days of that notification may be treated as abandoned. We may then dispose of, recycle, or sell the device to recover unpaid charges and storage costs, after giving written notice to the contact details you provided.

7. Payment Policies

7.1 Accepted methods. Cash, debit and credit cards, BENEFIT, bank transfer, and cheques. Valid photo ID or CPR may be requested for certain payment types and for high-value transactions.

7.2 Cheques. Cheques must be cashed and cleared in full before any goods, custom build, or serviced device is handed over. No item is released against an uncleared cheque. Post-dated cheques are accepted only by prior written agreement. Where a cheque is returned or dishonoured, we may require cash or card payment for all future transactions.

7.3 Currency and VAT. All prices are in Bahraini Dinar (BHD) and include VAT where applicable. A tax invoice is issued on request.

7.4 Deposits. Custom builds, special orders, and high-value items require a deposit of up to 50% before work begins or the order is placed with our supplier.

7.5 Deposits are non-refundable once components have been ordered or assembly has begun, except where we fail to deliver or the goods supplied are defective.

7.6 Balance due. The remaining balance is payable in full before collection or delivery. We retain title to all goods until payment is received in full.

7.7 B2B accounts. Credit terms, purchase orders, and payment periods for business customers are governed by a separate written supply agreement. Overdue balances may attract suspension of service and recovery costs.

8. Customer Conduct

8.1 We ask all customers to maintain a respectful and safe environment for our staff and for other customers. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone behaving abusively, threateningly, or unsafely on our premises.

8.2 Appointments. Appointments for repairs, consultations, and custom build discussions are encouraged and help us serve you faster. Book by phone or WhatsApp on +973 3431 5538.

9. Liability

9.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, revenue, business, data, or anticipated savings.

9.2 Our total liability for any product or service shall not exceed the amount you paid us for that product or service.

9.3 Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be excluded under Bahraini law.

10. Governing Law

These policies are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the courts of Bahrain have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, it shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force.
