I bought this a bit skeptical but I honestly can say this board is amazing. I wanted something weighty and that’s exactly what I got. Only thing I would say is a negative is that I wasn’t a fan of the keycaps. But I was planning on using my own set anyway so it didn’t matter to me!
Switches were pre Lubed and felt and sound AMAZING (again, I used my own anyway, but it’s nice to know I have a spare set of switches if I ever want to use them in the future.)
Overall, amazing board, software is easy and worked amazingly, board feels weighty and honestly more expensive than it actually is.
For less than £120, this board is an absolute Steal in my opinion.

The Womier SK87 is an impressive keyboard, combining premium materials, striking aesthetics, and versatile features. With its robust aluminum construction, gorgeous Diamond Cuts RGB design, and extensive connectivity options, it positions itself as a solid contender in the mid-to-high-end keyboard market. That said, a few quirks hold it back from perfection.

The SK87’s 6063 aluminum chassis feels sturdy and premium, with a satisfying weight that prevents it from sliding around during use. The leaf-spring gasket mount delivers a comfortable typing experience with a slight flex, while the overall acoustics lean closer to “thocky.” However, the stock sound dampening could use improvement, as the keyboard produces a louder sound profile. Fortunately, the sound isn’t unpleasant—it’s a well-balanced mix of clacky and thocky, though the factory MDA-profile PC keycaps introduce a higher pitch that may not appeal to everyone.

The stock POM Navy/Inks linear switches are smooth but slightly on the mushy side, and while pre-lubed, they didn’t feel as crisp as I’d hoped. Swapping them out for tactile switches greatly enhanced my typing experience. Similarly, the stock keycaps were a visual distraction; I replaced them with a non-shinethrough set to better suit my aesthetic preferences.

One of the SK87’s standout features is its top-side RGB LEDs, arranged in a fractal pattern along the case edges. These add a unique visual flair to the keyboard. While the lighting effects are mesmerizing, they are not easily configurable with the factory firmware, and the lack of open-source firmware limits advanced customization. This can be frustrating if you’re trying to synchronize the RGB with the rest of your setup.

The south-facing RGB backlighting on the keycaps is excellent, offering vibrant and evenly distributed colors. Still, it’s a missed opportunity that the fractal RGB isn’t independently controllable via QMK/VIA, especially considering the keyboard’s price point.

The triple-mode connectivity (wired, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth) is flawless. Switching between modes is seamless, and the 8000mAh battery ensures long-lasting performance in wireless use. The hidden receiver storage is a thoughtful addition that helps keep your workspace tidy.

The biggest disappointment is the peel-and-stick rubber feet, which lack durability. Mine began falling off after a short period of use, and replacing them has been tricky. For a keyboard at this level, sturdier and adjustable feet would have been expected. Additionally, while the factory switches and keycaps are serviceable, they don’t do justice to the keyboard’s premium build quality.
Final Thoughts

The Womier SK87 is a stunning keyboard with excellent potential. Its aluminum chassis, unique RGB lighting, and gasket-mounted typing experience make it a standout choice. However, its stock feet, keycaps, and switches leave something to be desired, requiring aftermarket upgrades to reach its full potential. The lack of source code for the firmware also limits its appeal to tinkerers.

For those willing to invest in customization, the SK87 can be a joy to use. Out of the box, it’s a solid keyboard with some rough edges. With some tweaks, it has the potential to become a favorite.
